چکیده

Introduction Recently, the intravascular MR contrast agent gadofosveset trisodium has been clinically approved for use in the European market. The contrast agent has a high reversible affinity to human serum albumin, which leads to a prolonged presence in the blood stream. The prolonged intravascular contrast allows acquiring high-resolution MRA data sets during steady state, but optimized imaging protocols are still under investigation. The aim of this study was to determine the optimal injection rate for first pass imaging studies and the optimal flip angle using high resolution steady state spoiled gradient echo MRA pulse sequence for the supra-aortic vessels.

A Comparison between Gadofosveset Trisodium and Gadobenate Dimeglumine for Steady State MRA of the Thoracic Vasculature

PURPOSE Retrospective comparison between gadofosveset trisodium and gadobenate dimeglumine steady state magnetic resonance angiography (SS-MRA) of the thoracic vasculature at 1.5T using signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and vessel edge sharpness (ES) as markers of image quality. MATERIALS AND METHODS IRB approval was obtained. Twenty separate patients each underwent SS-MRA using high-resolution 3D ...

بهینه سازی نگاره های MRA مغز با استفاده از ماده کنتر است زا در میدان مغناطیسی 1.5 تسلا

Background and purpose: Selection of suitable parameters for brain MRA requires accurate measures, because the image quality depends on the location of arteries, veins and also the velocity differences of blood, taking into account the low blood flow in small veins and arteries, use of paramagnetic contrast media is recommended. Hence, in present study, we investigated the imaging optimizatio...

High-spatial-resolution multistation MR angiography with parallel imaging and blood pool contrast agent: initial experience.

The purpose of this study was to prospectively evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of reader detection of 75% or greater stenosis at high-spatial-resolution multistation magnetic resonance (MR) angiography performed with matrix coils and a blood pool contrast agent. Ten healthy volunteers and 10 patients were examined. All participants provided informed consent to participate in this institutional...

Magnetic resonance venography with a blood pool contrast medium

Introduction Non-invasive venography to cover the entire neck and thoracic central venous system in one examination is challenging. MR venography is ideal for coverage but the technique is difficult as the majority of contrast media are extracellular agents that rapidly leave the vascular pool. Time resolved serial acquisition methods have improved but image quality may be suboptimal and they a...

Comparing Relative Contrast in Three-dimensional Double-echo Steady State With Routine Sequences for a Better Diagnosis of Knee Cartilage Anomalies

Aims This study compared relative contrast values in three-dimensional Double Echo Steady State (DESS) sequences with two flip angles of 40 and 90 degrees and other routine sequences. The obtained data could help to prove the effects of this sequence, compared to the other routine sequences; accordingly, it could be applied for better detection of lesions resulting from cartilage abnormalities....
